The Harvard Interfaculty Initiative on Medications and Society plans to support innovative and collaborative teaching projects at Harvard University exploring the economic, cultural, behavioral science, and clinical aspects of prescription drug use through various activities and opportunities.

A selection of new educational tools and ventures that are currently being developed include the following:


  • Online database of existing courses

  • Development of team-taught courses for undergraduates and graduate students which bring together faculty from multiple schools and departments

  • Identifying faculty expertise to connect with undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral students on research related to medications and society.


Interfaculty Initiative on Medications and Society research grants are now available, application deadline Monday, March 16, 2009.
